Souls - Our Story

At Souls, we believe comfort is more than a feeling—it's a way of life. What began as an unexpected discovery during a surfing adventure in the Maldives has grown into a trusted Australian footwear brand dedicated to helping people feel better with every step. The journey started when Stu Johnston returned home with a pair of colourful massage thongs unlike anything his family and friends had ever seen. Their reaction was immediate—everyone wanted a pair. What began as a simple request, soon sparked an idea that would change everything.
Around a relaxed Aussie BBQ on the Sunshine Coast, a vision was born. From a small garage operation in Moffat Beach, Souls took its’ first steps with an order of 2,000 pairs of thongs. Today, that same passion has grown into a thriving business supplying quality footwear to Australians through pharmacies and selected retail partners across the country.
